As per reports, the District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash stressed the need for vaccination as the only instrument against the fatal contagion. Keeping this in view, the mega vaccination program will be executed in the rural regions after it has been seen across the urban areas. Recently, the DM also convened a meeting of the top officials to deliberate upon steps and arrangements for fighting against the expected third wave.

Reportedly, the DM affirmed that it is important to get a large count of beneficiaries inoculated as soon as possible. Stepping up the current target of administering 20,000 jabs now, the officials have been asked to set a goal of 30,000 doses now. Further, the DM has ordered officials to conduct widespread contact tracing in order to mitigate the possibilities of an unchecked spread of infections. In addition to this, the panchayat heads have to make sure that myths and misconceptions don't hamper the vaccination drives.

Reportedly, the Additional Chief Medical Officer/District Immunisation Officer(DIO), Dr M.K. Singh informed that the vaccination centres will be set up at Panchayat Bhawans and Tehsils. It is expected that both registration-based and walk-in inoculations will be allowed at these sites.
