Lucknow commuters will soon enjoy smoother travel between Hazratganj and Shaheed Path as the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) launches an ambitious infrastructure project. A 2,300-meter-long flyover connecting La Martiniere College to G-20 Road is set to transform the city's traffic landscape.

Major step in Lucknow's Green Corridor initiative

Part of the Green Corridor initiative, this ₹315 crore, four-lane flyover-cum-rail overbridge will run along the Gomti River's right bank, crossing Army land and the Pipraghat railway line. LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar announced that tenders have been issued, with completion targeted within two years.

The project promises direct connectivity from key areas like 1090 Crossing, Kalidas Marg, and Vikramaditya Marg to Shaheed Path, Ekana Stadium, Police Headquarters, the airport, and Ayodhya Road. In addition to the flyover, a 250-meter-long bridge will be built over the Gomti River, linking G-20 Road to Bandha Road. This bridge, costing approximately ₹60 crore, will further ease connectivity and traffic movement and is expected to be ready in one year.
