Lucknow Municipal Corporation is all set to get its new headquarters in Gomti Nagar, near Fun Republic Mall. This new building, which will be constructed within 12-18 months, will have a dome structure just as the city's Vidhan Sabha.

Furthermore, the new LMC headquarters will be built at a cost of ₹400 crore and will come up on a 4-acre land of the Kendriya Karyashala. Apart from boasting a grand facade, the new building will also feature archives, library, and a museum.

According to the senior administration at the LMC, the existing headquarters in Lalbagh, which was built in the British era, can't handle the requirements of an expanding Lucknow. Hence, the need for a new headquarters.
