New Vande Bharat Train to boost connectivity between Lucknow and Saharanpur

The new Vande Bharat trains will be equipped with 20 coaches.

Indian Railways is set to launch a new Vande Bharat Express between Lucknow Junction and Saharanpur, significantly cutting travel time and enhancing passenger convenience. Announced on X by the Railway Minister, the train promises modern facilities and a premium travel experience.

Modern facilities onboard

The train comes with a range of advanced features:

  • Comfortable ergonomic seating with reclining chairs and rotating executive-class seats

  • Automatic plug doors, emergency openable windows, and fire extinguishers

  • Bio-vacuum toilets and dedicated mobile charging sockets at every seat

  • Pantry services with hot cases, boilers, deep freezers, and water coolers

Expansion of Vande Bharat network

In addition, Rajasthan will soon get two new Vande Bharat trains linking Jodhpur and Bikaner directly with Delhi Cantt. These services will cut travel time by over an hour, with inauguration expected on September 25.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Railways has announced an upgrade for Vande Bharat trains. Two years after their launch, the semi high-speed trains will now run with 20 coaches, compared to the 16 coaches they have operated with so far, enhancing passenger convenience.
