The state of Uttar Pradesh will now welcome its second Vande Bharat train, which will ply between Lucknow and Gorakhpur via Ayodhya. Unlike the other Vande Bharat express trains with 16 coaches, this train will have 8 coaches, making it the first mini version of a semi-high speed train in India.

The train, which will be able to cover a distance of 302 kilometer between the two cities in under 4 hours, is expected to be inaugurated on July 7.

The new Vande Bharat train will run at a speed of 270 km/hr

The 1st Vande Bharat train of Uttar Pradesh was inaugurated back in March 2023, which runs between Varanasi and New Delhi. Now, the Indian Railways is working towards the inauguration of Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat owing to the increased passenger traffic on the railway route.

Currently, the fastest trains that ply on this route are Gorakhdham Express and Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, both taking 4.45 to 5 hours to cover the distance. However, with the introduction of the new Vande Bharat train operating at a speed of 270 km/hr, passengers will be able to reach their destination more quickly.

Furthermore, the ultramodern train, like its other versions will be equipped with advanced amenities and will provide a totally distinctive and comfortable travel experience to the passengers.
