No property registration in Uttar Pradesh from November 8–11; here's why:

The public is advised to postpone all registry work until services resume on November 12.

In a move to enhance the efficiency and security of property registration services, the Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department has announced the suspension of land and deed registrations across the state from November 8 to November 11, 2025. This temporary halt in both online and offline registration services is due to a major server migration.

Tech revamp incoming

The shutdown is to facilitate a major technological upgrade. The state's registration portal (IGRSUP) is being migrated from its current NIC Meghraj Cloud to the more centralised and robust National Government Cloud (NGC).

According to IAS officer Neha Sharma, Inspector General of Registration, this move aims to significantly strengthen the portal's data security, stability, and speed. The suspension will allow for secure server maintenance and data migration.

This upgrade is expected to provide faster and more secure services in the future, a crucial step as the state's real estate market booms. The department has advised the public to avoid booking appointments or submitting documents during this four-day window and has apologised for any inconvenience. All services are scheduled to resume normally from November 12.
