Amid the chaos of LMO shortage across the country, Uttar Pradesh's worst-hit district, Lucknow welcomed two special tankers of oxygen on Saturday, from Bokaro in Jharkhand. The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) who informed that this service has brought 30,000 litres of oxygen to the city. He also stated that this quantity will meet up to half the city's demands for Saturday, adding that Lucknow will be in a much better position now.

More than just that, this train has parked a bountiful share of hope among the city folks, fostering the expectation of sufficient oxygen supply and active treatment. The Bokaro train had three oxygen trucks, in place of carts or coaches. Of the three, one was offloaded in Varanasi while the other two were brought to the state capital.

This is the second such train approved by the Centre to deliver oxygen to the worst-hit regions in the country. The first Oxygen Express carried 7 oxygen tankers from Vishakhapatnam to Maharashtra. This service reached Nagpur on Friday.
