After a year-long break due to the pandemic, primary schools across UP are finally opening their gates for in-person classes. Among several surprises planned, the most pertinent step is that the schools will be providing corona vaccine shots to them.

Further, teachers have been instructed to decorate schools in order to create a festive and lively atmosphere for the students so that they do not hesitate to re-enter the school premises, stated Dinesh Kumar, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Lucknow. Students will be greeted with colourful balloons, flowers and festoons upon their return. Over one lakh schools have already undergone a transformation since the pandemic.

Apart from the decoration of classes and gates, arrangements for safe drinking water for children are also being taken care of as schools have been directed to install submersible pumps. Adding to this, schools have also been equipped with facilities for smart classes and libraries.

Until now students have been attending online classes owing to the global pandemic. The introduction of EdTech in schools will ensure a continuity of pedagogy despite the transition from online to offline classes. Further, it will aid the learning process by providing the best of both worlds of traditional and modern education. The several surprises awaiting the return of students to schools will surely rejuvenate their learning spree and enthusiasm.
