In a significant initiative, the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway is set to connect with the Purvanchal Expressway, enabling seamless travel from Kanpur to Ayodhya. To achieve this, a 38-kilometre stretch from Bani to Maurawan, passing through the Mohanlalganj turn and Gosainganj, will be upgraded to a four-lane road.

Upon completion, this route is also slated to be designated as a National Highway. Reportedly, NHAI will start working on this route in the coming days. The construction of this highway will ease the movement of heavy vehicles, accelerate regional development and drive up land prices.
