‘Raat Akeli Hai’ brings Nawazuddin Siddiqui to Lucknow

Lucknow will once again appear on silver screen, in Nawazuddin Siddiqui's next- Raat Akeli Hai. The actor was seen shooting in Thakurganj area and a huge crowd had gathered to watch him.

The scenes of his upcoming film, ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ had him decked up as a police officer. As part of the film shooting, he was seen riding a bike and investigating a serious case revolving around a local video shop. We’re as curious as you to know what the plot of the film is.

The Gangs of Wasseypur actor attracted a huge crowd at the shooting location. Fans immediately rushed to the spot to see the artist in action. Apart from shooting film scenes, he also interacted and clicked pictures with the police officers responsible for security in the shooting locations.

In between shoots and vanity shots, the actor was also spotted interacting with fans and locals, getting to know the city better. Some fans even got the opportunity to have something to remember. He was gracious enough to give fans some time to get photos with him.

In case you’re thinking that you missed a golden opportunity to see the actor, do not fret. The film ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ will be shot extensively in Lucknow in places such as Qaiserbagh bus stand and Qaiserbagh police station. If you wish to follow the film shooting, you can even pay a visit to nearby areas such as Kanpur and Malihabad, where the film will be shot.

The film ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ will be directed by Honey Trehan as a directorial debut. Additionally, the film will also star Radhika Apte and Shweta Tripathi. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte have worked together before for the hit Netflix series, Sacred Games.

The film revolves around a crime thriller plot line that is set in rural India. Details about the story are scarce, but it is said that the film will have strong content.

Incidentally, a trailer for another Nawazuddin Siddiqui film was revealed yesterday, February 18. The film ‘Photograph’ is a love story about a young, blooming couple. Photograph, a film by Ritesh Batra will hit cinemas on March 15, 2019.
