The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has introduced real-time location tracking for intercity buses. In this recent move, 7,000 state buses have been fitted with GPS devices, enabling passengers to access bus location details on LED screens at bus stands.

Additionally, the corporation has launched a dedicated app, Margdarshi, which provides live bus locations. The app is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Reportedly, UPSRTC has also fitted older buses with panic buttons and a passenger information system to enhance facilities. The corporation plans to extend these upgrades to 10,000 more buses within the next three months.
