Real-time tracking of UPSRTC buses now possible with new android e-ticketing machines

Jatin Shewaramani

Contributing to the nationwide initiative of the digitising the services, the UP government has launched a new android-based e-ticketing system for the UPSRTC buses. The integration of e-ticketing machines with the android interface will provide seamless ticketing facilities to the passengers, including convenient tracking of prepaid reservations. The move will enable fast on-spot ticketing during the rush hours.

Android e-ticketing to improve transparency

This digitisation of the ticketing machines will primarily help the transport department in keeping a tab over the bus operators.

The e-ticketing machines will not only allow real-time monitoring of the buses but will also deliver precise information regarding the number of passengers and the collected revenue directly to the headquarters.

Furthermore, UPSRTC has also opened reservation option for general category buses from November 1.
