South Africa to play against India at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium under the captaincy of Sune Luus

South Africa's Women's Cricket Team has announced their squad for the India tour set to be played in Lucknow and Sune Luss has been notified as their captain for this tour. Regular captain Dane van Niekerk is injured and will not play the series, read reports. Besides her, the 17-member touring squad will also miss all-rounder Chloe Tryon, who previously missed the recent home series against Pakistan. The remaining unit has remained unchanged since the team's last appearance in Durban.

The Touring squad reached Lucknow on Saturday afternoon, ahead of the series opener on March 7. The team will affirm the travel protocols issued in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and remain under quarantine until training begins. All matches will be played in a biosecure environment in Lucknow at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium.

"It is really exciting to finally have this tour confirmed and announce our squad that will do duty here in India, and we are looking forward to getting out there to see our ladies prove themselves under different playing conditions," head coach Hilton Moreeng said in a statement.
