Underrated eats from the UNESCO City of Gastronomy: Ep.1, Karaari Angeethi, Indira Nagar

This is Indira Nagar's answer to "What's for Snacks?"

Khushboo Ali

If you’re someone who starts craving a snack as the evening sets in, Karaari Angeethi in Indira Nagar is where you need to be! Ever tried Tandoori Spring Rolls? Yes, you heard that right. This unique treat is just one of the standout dishes at this popular eatery that has earned a loyal following across the city. And trust us, these rolls are not to be missed.

The snack you just can't get enough of!

Karari Angeethi almost always sees a crowd of hungry souls wanting to try their specials like Soya chaap, Tandoori chaap, Malai chaap, Tandoori momos, Afghani momos, and much more. Owner Shubham Singh clearly knows what makes Lucknow tick (and drool)!

The crowd favourites? It’s hard to pick just one, but Steamed Momos, Tandoori Spring Rolls, and the zesty Latpati Chatpati Chaap are definite hits. And if you're in the mood for something with a little extra kick, the Makhni Spring Roll and Chatori Chaap won’t disappoint.

And when we dug in to taste the crowd favourites, we were instantly hooked, those Tandoori Spring Rolls had the perfect smoky flavour without being greasy, and the Veg Steamed Momos were packed with fresh, flavourful veggies, no soya chunks, just pure goodness. By the time we were full, Shubham insisted we try the Soya Chaap Gravy with Butter Naan, and we’re glad he did, absolutely fab!

And if you’re in the mood to explore a new location, Shubham shares "Karari Angeethi has recently opened a new outlet at the Riverfront, bringing its beloved flavours to a fresh spot".

Karaari Angeethi continues to wow!

Karaari Angeethi may have moved from its old spot near Indira Nagar Metro Station, but the loyal crowd has followed the trail to its new location, and for good reason! Karaari Angeethi continues to be a go-to spot for foodies craving authentic, lip-smacking street food. Don’t miss out, whether you're a regular or a newbie, the taste is always worth the visit!

Pro tip? Get there early. The evening rush is real, and those tandoori spring rolls disappear faster than you can say "one more plate, please!"
