The Lucknow district administration has begun preparations for several upcoming events, including conferences, seminars, and exhibitions that will be organized by the government in the near future. Along with the UP global investors summit and the G20 meet events which will be hosted next month, the district administration is also organizing a special UP Diwas 2023 exhibition for the public at the Awadh Shilpgram in Lucknow.
UP Diwas 2023 exhibition is being organized to commemorate the 74th foundation day of Uttar Pradesh, will continue between Jan 24-26 and will include a showcase of indigenous products clubbed with cultural events.
The Uttar Pradesh foundation day is celebrated on January 24, each year as the state (which was known as United Province before independence) was assembled on the same day, back in 1950.
Notably, the UP Diwas event is being organized in the city from 2018 to exhibit local handicraft products and to showcase the cultural heritage of the state. The 2023 edition of the event will be inaugurated by the state CM on Jan 24 in presence of other dignitaries.
