UP govt aims to make Lucknow India's first & fastest-growing AI city

A 40-acre land area near the Amausi Airport will be developed, which will serve as the central hub for the AI city project's activities.

During a recent meeting chaired by UP state officials, a comprehensive strategy was formulated as part of the state government's ambitious plan to strengthen UP's economy. The meeting which was held in the presence of UP CM, majorly focussed on the development and transformation of Lucknow as the foremost AI city in the nation.

With a motive to achieve the significant milestone of making UP a 1 trillion dollar economy by 2027, the state government will prioritize and thrust its efforts on core industrial sectors. These sectors include agriculture, religious tourism and information technology.

In addition to the aforementioned sectors, the government will also place additional emphasis on other vital areas including green energy, urban development, education, food processing and the MSME sectors.

For the ambitious AI city project in Lucknow, the IT wing of UP's Industrial Development Department is actively developing a comprehensive roadmap to ensure a successful launch. As part of this initiative, a 40-acre land area near the Amausi Airport will be developed, which will serve as the central hub for the project's activities.

Furthermore, the department is committed to providing the necessary infrastructure and support to foster the growth of AI startups and establish a thriving AI industry.

Through this transformative initiative, the government sets its sights on positioning Lucknow as the premier city in India for emerging technologies and AI-driven industries.
