The UP Mango Festival 2025 is all set to take place from July 4 to 6 at Awadh Shilpgram, Lucknow, celebrating the king of fruits in all its glory. Over 600 mango varieties, including Dussehri, Langra, Chaunsa, Amrapali, and Rataul will be on display, alongside cultural performances, mango-based dishes, and fun contests.
Hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Horticulture Department, the festival is a major initiative to promote mango cultivation, processing, and exports. With UP accounting for 27% of the country’s total mango output across 3.25 lakh hectares, the event holds significant value for both farmers and exporters. In the previous year, the state exported over 40 metric tonnes of mangoes to international markets.
Visitors can look forward to mango-eating contests, a mango dish competition, buyer-seller meets, and workshops on post-harvest care, marketing, and pest management. Representatives from other states including MP, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Gujarat will also participate.
