UP News | Northern Railways renames 8 stations under Lucknow Division: Here's the new list

Northern Railways announced on Tuesday that it will be changing the names of 8 railway stations under Lucknow Division. Here's the list of UP stations that will be renamed along with their new title:

  • Kasimpur Halt renamed to Jais City

  • Jais Station renamed to Guru Gorakhnath Dham

  • Misrauli renamed to Maa Kalikan Dham

  • Bani renamed to Swami Paramhans Station

  • Nihalgarh renamed to Maharaja Bijli Pasi Station

  • Akbarganj renamed to Maa Ahorva Bhawani Dham

  • Wazirganj Halt renamed to Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan

  • Fursatganj renamed to Tapeshwarnath Dham

Notably, the names of these stations have been changed but their numerical identification codes, as issued by the IRCA (Indian Railway Conference Association), will stay the same.
