Notably, these directives were handed out by the administration as it has been noticed that people use this sensitive period to settle personal scores during festival revelry. Apart from this, notorious elements also try to instigate communal tension by throwing colours on people from other faith. To tackle this problem, extra forces will also be allocated to the districts that are considered sensitive in this respect.

According to a press release from the state police headquarters, mobile policing and quick reaction teams will also remain alert during the festival. In addition to this, the administration is also taking measures to improve police visibility on the roads. Meanwhile, a special vigil will also be carried out across the state to make sure that the political rivalry developed during the recent state elections do not disrupt the peaceful celebrations.
