The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has announced the introduction of additional AC shuttle buses for passengers travelling between Lucknow and Kanpur.

The expansion of the services will provide streamlined connectivity to commuters and meet the increased demand this summer season.

In November last year, UPSRTC launched AC shuttle bus services between Charbagh and Jhakarkati bus stand in Kanpur to increase passenger convenience. The fare of these AC Janrath buses was reserved at ₹145. Regional manager of Lucknow, UPSRTC, Manoj Kumar Pundir told that in the first phase, 8 buses were started from both sides, which have received a good response from the passengers.

Reportedly, the state transport authority has made preparations to increase the number of buses owing to the increasing demand.

A plan is being prepared to start 8 more bus services from Charbagh to Kanpur and a timetable for running these buses is being fixed. Furthermore, it is expected that instructions regarding the initiation of the new buses will be issued soon.
