Had you ever thought that one could ever have a meal while floating atop River Yamuna, in Prayagraj? Soon, city dwellers and tourists will be able to enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience at the state’s first-ever floating restaurant here.

The proposed project is likely to open at the Boat Club, which is already being upgraded by the Prayagraj Development Authority for the same. As per reports, provisions for a yoga centre and water sports facilities will also be available at the club.

Floating restaurant to open on PPP model

Giving a major boost to UP Tourism, the state will be launching a PPP model based floating restaurant in Prayaraj. Parties interested in bidding for this multi-cuisine eatery project will be required to make a presentation for the tender. This must also include recommendations for the changes they wish to make to the Boat Club.

PDA vice-chairman, Arvind Kumar Chauhan, said that efforts are on to ensure the completion of the project before peak tourist movement in 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. However, the novelty of this project is expected to attract customers even in the non-holiday season.
