Work to make Lucknow’s Kaiserbagh a smart zone to begin soon!

The renovation of Kaiserbagh in Lucknow that has been delayed since last two years, will finally begin this month. From January 15, Lucknow Municipal Corporation will begin the Area Based Development(ABD) of Kaiserbagh, under the Smart City project.

LMC has received Rs 165 crore, from the state government for the completion of the project. Kaiserbagh will be turned into a Smart Zone, that will have underground power cables, PNG connections, sensor based trash cans, and most importantly the a new and beautiful looking Kaiserbagh crossing. An amount of Rs 26 crore from the budget of Rs 165 crore will be spent on the installation of sensor based bins, which on getting filled will blink in the integrated command centre.

Solar panels will be installed in the Government offices, in the Kaiserbagh area, at the cost of Rs 34 crore. These solar panels will generate energy of around 35-40MW. Around 10000 households in the area will get PNG connections, under the project.
