Alternate routes issued till May 15, as last phase construction of Andheri's Gokhale Bridge begins

Until the project is completed, only one lane will be available for two-way traffic.

Traffic chaos is expected in Andheri as work on the last and final phase from Gokhale Bridge to Telly Gully Bridge begins. Till May 15, the stretch from Gold Spot junction to Gokhale Bridge (Western Bound) and Gokhale Bridge to Gold spot junction (Eastern Bound) will be closed to vehicular traffic. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have issued alternate routes to ensure smooth travel.

Alternate routes:

  • Motorists travelling from Gold Spot Junction towards Andheri West vie Teli Gali Bridge will use the Teli Gali Bridge (eastbound) and then proceed to Andheri West via Gokhale Bridge.

  • Vehicles coming from Gokhale Bridge towards Gold Spot Junction via the eastbound will proceed to Gold Spot Junction via Teli Gully Slip Road.

BMC bridge will undergo concrete construction over the tarred road. Until the project is completed, only one lane will be available for two-way traffic.
