Amidst Trans Harbour Link construction, Mumbai’s Eastern Freeway to be closed for 59 days

The temporary order will remain in effect till May 30, 2023.

Following the construction work along Trans Harbour Link Project -1, Mumbai’s Eastern Freeway shall be closed for vehicular traffic from 12 midnight to 05:00 am. The Eastern Freeway ramp's A, B, E and C1 shall be temporarily closed for both South and North bound traffic during the night hours for 59 days. In order to facilitate smooth movement of traffic and prevent inconvenience, Mumbai Traffic Police are announce following alternate routes.

Alternate routes for smooth movement of traffic

Mumbai’s Traffic Police has made arrangements for alternate routes during the closure of Eastern Freeway closure:

  • All vehicles on Eastern Freeway (South Bound) shall take a left turn from Bhakti Park towards Shanti Nagar Road and Dayashankar Chowk to MBPT Road shall take a left turn from there to reach their desired destination.

  • All vehicles on Eastern Freeway (North Bound) Wadibunder Juction, Orange Gate Right turn towards MBPT Road to reach desired destination.

The notification further read that the above temporary order shall be in effect from January 17 to May 30, 2023.
