Mumbai is a city full of dilapidated cinemas theatres, as it is only apt for the home of one of the world’s largest movie industries. And one such humble place, popularly known as G7 Multiplex or Gaiety Galaxy Theatre in Bandra, has been catering to cinephiles for the past 50 years!

The first film that ever screened here, in 1972, was Ramesh Sippy's Seeta Aur Geeta starring Hema Malini. And with time, Gaiety Galaxy Theatre became a benchmark of success and all major films had to release here.

Hello, old friend!

After continuous restructuring over the years, G7 Multiplex proudly stands as a symbol of Mumbai's love for films, with 7 movie halls -- Gaiety, Galaxy, Gemini, Grace, Gem, Glamour, and Gossip. Known to have cheap tickets priced at ₹150 only, irrespective of titles, Gaiety is an economical option for people.

The theatre has also a hotspot for promotional events. It has hosted song screenings for movies such as Kalank (2019), Bhediya (2022) and Vikram Vedha (2022), among others.

Not to forget, this iconic theatre recently made headlines, when it decided to start its shows as early as 9 AM for Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathaan' movie. But why does it qualify as news? It’s because it is known to start shows at or after 12 pm only.

Address: G7 Multiplex, SV Road No 30, Bandra West, Mumbai.
