The festive charm of Mumbai's Bandra neighbourhood, typically filled with Christmas cheer each year, is now overshadowed by disrupted roads. Key arteries such as Patkar Road, St. Martins Road, Pali Mala Road, and Hill Road are concurrently undergoing infrastructure upgrades, leading to persistent congestion and inconvenience during the festive season.

These projects encompass road concretization and the installation of stormwater drains and gas pipelines. The area, known for its prominent churches that attract tourists, is currently facing severe inconvenience. This predicament endangers both the residents and tourists visiting the neighbourhood.

In response to the situation, local authorities have announced a phased planning approach for infrastructure works during the Christmas season. Additionally, traffic management teams will be deployed to ensure convenience and alleviate disruptions throughout the festival.
