Mumbai is often touted as the hub for various culinary experiences. Along with being rich in heritage, even the small lanes of the city offer food that can take your taste buds on an unforgettable journey. So today we are exploring a hidden gem in Santacruz— Fat Choy. This place finds roots in various regions across China along with influences from other Asian countries and we have all the deets.

Always thinking ‘a bao’ you!

The restaurant spells an oriental charm, right from the beginning. As guests set foot into the restaurant, they are greeted by kind of a quintessential aesthetic.

Coming to the best part, food! The appetiser menu has been thoughtfully divided into 5 categories - veg, chicken, fish, lamb and prawns. Start off with the Hot and Sour Soup (₹130) and Prawns Burnt Garlic Dry (295) enhanced with rich spices and herbs.

For the main course, go for Chicken in Oyster Basil Sauce (₹240) and Chilly Garlic Noodles (₹160). So, if you decide to drop by, make sure you wash it all down with fizzy Fresh Lime Soda (₹40). Our taste buds are already tingling, how about you?

Fat Choy’s unique vegetarian and non-vegetarian Chinese fare, sumptuous desserts and a courteous team which is always ready to put forward their best service, has been attracting loyal food lovers for over a decade now.

Knock Knock

A collection of samurai sketched on the primary wall of the restaurant sets the mood just right. The wooden tables and partition screens, the black iron clad ceiling, the lamp-like chandelier over the tables and the carefully selected cutlery - each depicts a slice of life from China and lend a dramatic edge to the eatery. Follow Choy’s Instagram handle for more updates.
