In 2016, the ambitious reconditioning project was set into motion by the collaborative efforts of Abraham John Architects, their not-for-profit platform Bombay Greenway, LittleBigCity and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

In a span of just 3 years, this visionary firm breathed new life into the forgotten space, sculpting it into a vibrant multi-utility haven. With utmost dedication, they sculpted an amphitheatre that resonates with stories waiting to unfold.

Today, this extraordinary space serves as a melting pot, where individuals from diverse backgrounds intermingle. This exceptional pedestrian-only area, is a graceful host to a myriad of cultural events, engaging activities and captivating art shows that unfold from time to time.

The architectural marvel of this amphitheatre-like space is thoughtfully designed, considering the needs of all, including parents with prams and individuals in wheelchairs. The seamless integration of ramps alongside the staircase ensures unrestricted access for one and all.
