In a significant step, Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport Undertaking (NMMT) has revealed its plans to introduce bus services on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL). This will ease travel for Navi Mumbai residents, planning to visit Mumbai, without private four-wheelers.

NMMT Manager, Yogesh Kaduskar, revealed that at least four services, including two air-conditioned electric buses, will soon traverse the bridge. To kick off the initiative, Bus Number 115 will ferry passengers from Nerul to Mantralaya, making stops along the Kharkopar belt and Ulwe. This air-conditioned service originally operated between Kharkopar and Mantralaya. However, due to popular demand from residents, it will now commence its journey from Nerul and follow the route via MTHL.

Travelers can rest easy knowing that NMMT will not be raising tolls, an AC bus ride from Nerul to Mantralaya, which is 52 km in length, will set you back at ₹90.
