English Premier League sets up first India office in Mumbai; eyes deeper fan engagement

This follows EPL’s global expansion with offices in Singapore, New York, and Beijing.

The English Premier League has opened its first India office in Mumbai, marking a major step in its 18-year journey of promoting football in the country. From grassroots training to elite-level partnerships with the ISL, the EPL has nurtured talent across India. The new office aims to boost fan engagement and deepen local collaborations.

The Next Gen Cup returns to Mumbai in May 2025

For over 18 years, the EPL has supported Indian football through its Premier Skills program, training 7,300+ coaches and referees and benefiting 124,000 young players. It also partners with the Indian Super League (ISL), sharing expertise in coaching, refereeing, and youth development. The Next Gen Cup, an elite youth tournament featuring ISL and Premier League U19 teams, will return to Mumbai in May 2025.

Premier League CEO Richard Masters called the move a "significant milestone", highlighting India’s growing football culture. The office will enhance fan engagement and partnerships, including with broadcast giant JioStar.
