IIT Bombay opens applications for Advanced Cybersecurity & Software Development Courses

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has announced the second edition of its Professional Certification Programmes in Cybersecurity and Software Development. The courses are offered through the IIT-B Trust Lab, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Each runs entirely online over 12 months and includes three structured courses taught by IIT Bombay faculty.

New additions to the curriculum

This edition introduces two new 14-week modules:

  • Network Security (Cybersecurity Programme) – focusing on protecting computer networks from evolving cyber threats through applied learning in defence strategies, secure protocols, and network hardening.

  • Full-Stack MERN Development with Apache and Nginx (Software Development Programme) – training participants to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable web applications using modern frameworks and server configurations.

According to IIT Bombay, the courses are carefully curated to keep pace with current market needs, enhancing professional growth and opening diverse career opportunities in high-demand technology sectors.
