With 2,503 new COVID-19 cases and 27 deaths, India marks its lowest single-day count in 680 days. As per the Health Ministry’s report on Monday, the active caseload in India has also hit the lowest mark in 675 days at 36,168. Over 4,377 people have recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, with the country’s total recoveries soaring to 4,24,41,449.

Consequently, India's recovery rate has also climbed up to a whopping 98.72%. Armed against the pandemic with rapid testing and vaccination, India has conducted over 5,32,232 in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally to 77.90 crores. As India rapidly vaccinates its citizens, under the nationwide vaccination drive, the country’s vaccination coverage has exceeded the unsurpassed feat of 180.19 crores so far.
