Dry Day on July 6 for Muharram & Ashadi Ekadashi in Mumbai

Mumbai will observe a dry day on July 6. This is in observance of Muharram, a period of mourning in Islam, and Ashadi Ekadashi, a significant Hindu fasting day. All bars, restaurants, and liquor shops will remain closed. Another dry day is scheduled for July 10, marking Guru Purnima, a day to honour spiritual and academic teachers.

These restrictions are enforced by government authorities during major religious occasions to maintain public decorum. With alcohol sales suspended, residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly. Make any necessary purchases in advance or adjust social plans to avoid inconvenience.
