Knocksense Short | Common man claims Mumbai cab more expensive than a flight to Goa

Mumbai rains pour heavy on common man's pocket!

It's bizzare, shocking but ultimately real; when Shravan Kumar Suvarna of Mumbai tried to book a cab from Dadar to Dombivali, he was flashed a fare of ₹3041 for the ride. Taken aback, the Suvarna took to his Twitter to share a photo the same saying, "Flight to Goa is cheaper than my ride home #peakmumbairains". And that was lowest range cab; a faster premier cab was priced around ₹4000 and an XL one around ₹5000.

While it is no surprise that cabs cost are higher during monsoon with demand running way higher than supply, it surely astonishes the common man and Twitterati that such high a fare is applicable within city travel. Well to say anything, Mumbai rains are pelting har on a common man's wallet too!
