Mumbai reported 235 new COVID cases and zero deaths on Monday, lowest since May 24th

On Monday, Maharashtra reported the lowest number of fresh COVID-19 cases since June 6th. With 1,189 cases being reported in the state, there was a significant drop in Mumbai’s reported cases with 235 fresh COVID-19 cases, the lowest since May 24th.

As per the reports, zero deaths were reported in Mumbai, however, there were two deaths in Nashik and Ahmednagar on Monday. Notably, the active cases have come down from over 14,000 to 3,557 in Mumbai. On the other hand, with 431 recoveries on Monday, the city recovery rate now stands at 98%. Marking the current trend, the state officials stated that the current surge seems to be receding, regardless of less testing during the weekends.
