Knocksense Shorts | MMRDA awarded for 'Excellence in Urban Transport' for Mumbai Metro connectivity

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has been recognized for its work in ensuring seamless connectivity for Mumbai Metro. In this regard, MMRDA won the 'Excellence in Urban Transport' award at the 16th Urban Mobility India Conference in New Delhi.

Specifically, MMRDA has been recognized for the work on the 'Multi-Modal Integration for 30 of its stations on Mumbai Metro Lines 7 and 2A'.

It is noteworthy that MMRDA has ensured Mumbai Metro's connectivity with Mumbai's suburban rail system and bus terminals. The administrative body has also placed these stations in such a way, that they are all within the reach of public transport, like rickshaws and taxis.
