They say it's never too late to learn and Kunchikorve Mashanna Ramappa of Mumbai proved it right. The 50-year-old BMC sanitation worker cracked the SSC 10th Board Examination in his first attempt. Ramappa enrolled three years before attempting the board exam in the 8th standard of Universal Night School in Dharavi.

Ramappa has been working with the BMC for over 20 years now. After working hours, he would go to night school every evening from 7 PM to 8:30 PM and managed to secure 57% marks in the exam. He scored 54 in English, 54 in Marathi, 57 in Hindi, 52 in Mathematics, 53 in Science, and 59 in Social Sciences.

"I got 57%. I studied daily for 3 hours. My kids are graduates so they also helped me in my studies," Ramappa said. He wishes to complete his studies and inspire others to do so.
