Knocksense Shorts | Mumbai University to now offer full-time Masters in Folk Arts

Mumbai University has now converted its 1 year PG Diploma course in Folk Arts, into a two-year full-time master's degree course. The course will be offered by Lok Kala Academy, at Mumbai University. Furthermore, the varsity has become the first government institute in India to offer such a course.

Aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, this course will be a blend of both theoretical and practical papers. It will majorly consist of Maharashtrian (performing) Folk Arts with a small portion of non-Maharashtrian Folk Arts as well.
