IIM-Mumbai is set to open its doors to new candidates for the academic year 2024-2026. It will now offer programmes such as MBA General, MBA in Sustainability, and MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management. This session will also mark the transformation of NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering), a management institute catering to engineers, into an IIM that grants MBA degrees to a wider segment.

Presently, NITIE provides PGDIM and PGDIE programs, both necessitating engineers to undertake the GATE exam. Additionally, its PGDSM mandates aspirants to appear for CAT. These courses will now be transformed into conventional MBA programs, following NITIE's IIM status.

The existing fees for full-time programmes fall between ₹ 6.5 lakhs - ₹7 lakhs. The upcoming fee structure will be determined following a meeting of the Board of Governors.
