Knocksense Shorts | Phase 1 of Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project to be operational in 2026

The bullet train will slash the travel time between the 2 cities, to just a little over 2 hrs.

The first phase of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train is expected to be functional in 2026, according to a statement by India's Railway Minister. Once this high-speed train starts running, the travel time between the two cities will come down to just two hours and seven minutes.

It is noteworthy that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will run at a speed of 320 km/h, covering a distance of 508 km. Running from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, the high-speed train will make stoppages in Sabarmati, Kalupur, Vadodara, Anand, Surat, Bilimora, Bharuch, Boisar, Vapi, Virar, Thane and Mumbai.
