For underground Mumbai Metro lines and platforms being built up to 20m below ground, seamless mobile connectivity is a big challenge. Thus, the under-construction Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ-Metro 3 corridor will boast uninterrupted internet and mobile connectivity soon.

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has given the contract to ACES India Pvt Ltd, the company that has successfully provided connectivity solutions to Bengaluru Airport and Surat Diamond Bourse, which is the world's largest official building.

As part of the project, antennas and repeaters will be installed in tunnels and underground stations. In addition to that, MMRC is also collaborating with leading telecom service providers to ensure uninterrupted cellular coverage for commuters on the metro line.
