Knocksense Shorts | Special Train to run between Bandra and Velankanni from Aug 27

Booking at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters has began from July 28.

Following the stream of extended festive rush during Velankanni festival from August 29 to September 8, 2023, Western Railways (WR) has announced to run a Special Train no. 09041, between Bandra and Velankanni.

On it’s long journey the train will make halts at Borivali, Vasai, Panvel, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Raichur, Guntakal, Cuddapah, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore Port, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur and Nagappattinam Station. The schedule of the train is as follows:

Train no. 09041 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni:

  • Departure Time: 09:20 PM (Sunday)

  • Arrival Time: 08:30 AM (Tuesday)

  • Running day: August 27, 2023

Train no. 09042 Velankanni - Bandra Terminus:

  • Departure Time: 12:30 AM (Wednesday)

  • Arrival Time: 01:40 PM (Thursday)

  • Running day: August 30, 2023

Further, WR will also be extending trips of Train No. 05054/53 on a special fair basis, to handle passenger ruses.
