The first phase of the 3rd Kalwa creek bridge (Kalwa Khadi Bridge third route) has finally been made operational for the public. The 2.4 km long bridge constitutes three routes originating from Thane Police Commissioner's office, Central Jail and Saket Road which converge further and allow seamless access across the Kalwa creek. The bridge route runs between the three points to the Kalwa Chowk - Belapur Road.

Presently, only the Thane Police Commissioner's Office to Kalwa Chowk - Belapur Road route has been opened for the public to decongest the traffic in the area. Furthermore, 93% work on the bridge has been completed and the remaining two arms will become operational very soon.
