Tomorrow is the last day of Ganeshotsav, the time when Mumbai will bid farewell to 'Bappa', marked by immersion of idols and grand celebrations during the visarjan. Foreseeing the heavy rush due to the procession, the Western Railways has decided to lay off the UP fast locals between Mumbai Central and Churchgate station, from 5 PM to 8:30 PM this Friday.

As per the press release issued by the Western Railways, all the UP slow line Churchgate bound trains will not halt at platform No. 2 of Charni Road station, between 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on 9th September. The move is aimed at avoiding any blockage during peak hours.

Moreover, the Western Railways has also initiated eight Ganpati special locals which will run between the Churchgate and Virar stations during the midnight hours of September 9 and 10.
