Lokhandwala welcomes new Sridevi Chowk, honouring Indian cinema's "first female superstar"

On the occasion of Dussehra, Mumbai paid tribute to the late iconic actress Sridevi by naming a chowk in Lokhandwala after her, marking six years since her death. The emotional ceremony was attended by Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, daughter Khushi Kapoor, and actors Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, and Poonam Dhillon.

Located near Sridevi's long-time residence, Green Acres Tower, the chowk holds sentimental value. Both Boney and Khushi were visibly emotional as they unveiled the landmark featuring Sridevi’s photo.
