Maha Mumbai Metro rolls out WhatsApp ticketing; send “Hi” to book a ride!

Maha Mumbai Metro has unveiled a WhatsApp ticketing service, allowing passengers to purchase tickets with a single “Hi” message. This initiative, announced on X on Tuesday, aims to eliminate queues and paper tickets, making travel more convenient and eco-friendly.

In a recent social media post, authorities detailed the simple steps to secure tickets via WhatsApp. Read on to find out how the service works!

Book Mumbai metro tickets via WhatsApp

  • Save 86526 35500 in your contacts.

  • Open WhatsApp and send a “Hi” message to the saved number.

  • Maha Mumbai Metro will respond with multiple choices:

    • Buy Ticket

    • Retrieve Ticket

    • Last Transaction

  • Choose the “Buy Ticket” option. You will receive a link with the prompt “Click Here” to select your boarding and destination stations. Click “Continue” to finalise your ticket purchase.

  • Review your ticket details, select a payment method, then click “Review & Pay” to make a secure payment via UPI, Card, or Wallet. Your QR ticket will be sent instantly, ready for you to scan and ride.
