Maharashtra Polls: With 1.02 cr voters, 410 candidates & 288 seats, Mumbai gears for Election Day

The EC has resolved most complaints filed via the C-Vigil app.

As Mumbai prepares to vote on November 20, electoral rolls have seen adjustments with 43,020 voters removed, including 26,429 from the Island City and 16,591 from the suburbs, following the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile, 2.91 lakh new voters have been added, bringing the total electorate in Mumbai to 1.02 crore.

The Mumbai's 36 assembly constituencies: 10 in the Island City and 26 in the suburbs, will host 410 candidates vying for 288 state assembly seats. Voting will take place across 10,117 booths, with 84 model polling stations managed by women, youth, and divyang staff.

The Election Commission has resolved most complaints filed via the C-Vigil App and designated 76 critical polling booths. Furthermore, counting of votes is set for 23 November.
