MCA launches Graduation Programme for cricketers, plans to scout talent for UK tour

MCA will also bring back T20 Mumbai League, after a six year hiatus.

In a move that promises to strengthen the future of Mumbai's cricketing talent, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has unveiled plans for a structured graduation programme for aspiring cricketers. For this, MCA will be teaming up with Mumbai University.

MCA to send young talents to UK For international exposure 

This initiative, which was approved during the MCA's apex council meeting on Wednesday, is designed to blend practical, hands-on training alongside academic qualifications. In a press release, MCA announced that the programme will equip young cricketers with the skills they need to excel at the professional level. 

Further, MCA will identify and select promising emerging players for a UK tour. The initiative is designed to offer the players invaluable experience of international playing conditions and competitive matches against high-caliber opposition.

In another announcement, MCA also revealed that it’s bringing back the T20 Mumbai League on May 27 after a hiatus of six years! The league was held for two years before being discontinued.
