Mumbai is set for a wet weekend as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts moderate to heavy rainfall across the city and its suburbs. The Financial Capital's skyline is expected to be dominated by cloudy conditions, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 33°C, on Friday.

Residents near the shores should be prepared for high tides, with one of 4.31 meters predicted at 11:45 AM and another of 3.67 meters at 11:33 PM. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported that northern areas of Mumbai's western suburbs experienced significant rainfall, with some areas receiving over 100 mm in a 24-hour period.

In the past 24 hours, Mumbai's northern western suburbs experienced substantial rainfall, with Eksar in Borivali (West) recording the highest at 140.6 mm. Other areas like Magathane, Borivali (East), Dahisar, and Malvani also reported over 100 mm of rainfall.

In contrast, the island city and eastern suburbs received less precipitation, with Pratiksha Nagar and Tagore Nagar registering 36.6 mm and 48 mm, respectively. Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) for PM10 particles is currently 39, categorised as 'good.'

With the monsoon firmly settled, residents can expect a week of moderate showers, enhancing the overall air quality and bringing relief from the summer heat.
