Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has issued an advisory for passengers traveling between August 15 and August 20, urging them to plan ahead due to heightened security measures in place for Independence Day.

The airport authorities have increased security protocols as part of a nationwide effort to ensure safety during the celebrations.

CSMIA has alerted travellers to plan their airport arrival with extra time for enhanced security checks. With an anticipated surge in air travel, the airport emphasised the importance of passengers allocating sufficient time to complete mandatory safety protocols, ensuring a smooth and secure travel experience.
